Rodolfo Garau

Rodolfo Garau has a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Torino. He held positions at the Max-Planck-Institute for the History of Science, at the Université du Quèbec à Trois-Rivières, and at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on two main areas: the history of early modern philosophy and science, with particular attention to the cross-use of mechanical concepts in early modern biology and psychology; and the history of materialism, with emphasis on the revival of Epicureanism in the early modern period.
