Kerry Bystrom at panel on human rights (Tübingen)

On June 14, 2017 BCB's Associate Dean and faculty member Kerry Bystrom participated in the panel “What Do Human Rights Do?” organized by the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and taking place at the German-American Institute, Tübingen.

The event opened with a roundtable where scholars discussed the complex history of the concept of human rights and inquired into ways of talking about justice beyond this concept. Participants included Kerry Bystrom, Marc Epprecht (Queen's University, Canada), John Kinsella (Curtin University, Australia), Fernando Resende (Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil) and Joseph Slaughter (Columbia University, US).

The roundtable was followed by an open public discussion.
