Martin Binder in Top 100 German-speaking young economists (Handelsblatt)

Faculty member Prof. Dr. Martin Binder has made it into the Top 100 of German-speaking economists under 40 years of age in the 2017 Handelsblatt ranking. Scoring 97 out of 100, this places him in the top 25% of all German-speaking economists in the Young Economists ranking. The ranking is conducted every two years by the Handelsblatt and Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE). It assesses research output through counting the number of journal articles published and research quality by weighting research articles by their publication venue (with journals garnering more citations getting better scores). Prof. Binder is one of only two economists under 40 at Berlin universities to make it into the ranking.
