Scholarship in Aesthetics

Description

Bard College Berlinís unique concentration of study in Art and Aesthetics allows students to explore various branches of art making and art production within a theoretical and historical framework. The concentration encompasses studio arts, art history, and philosophical aesthetics, as well as the links between these areas. The Scholarship in Aesthetics is designed for students who wish to specialize in Art and Aesthetics within the BA in Humanities, the Arts, and Social Thought. The award is suitable for students who can demonstrate an exceptional track record of study or extracurricular interest in art history and /or the practicing arts. 

Award amount: Up to a 50% tuition waiver; renewable for 4 years

Priority Application Deadline: January 1

Late Application Deadline: May 1


Criteria

Applicants for the Scholarship in Aesthetics must

- Apply for admission to the Humanities, the Arts, and Social Thought program

- Demonstrate an exceptional record of academic and extracurricular interest in visual arts, theater arts, or art history

- Intend to continue their study of these fields as part of their liberal arts education at Bard College Berlin

The partial tuition waiver is renewable for 4 years contingent on the recipientís maintenance of a B average or better.
