Levy Institute Scholarship

Description

The Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, founded in 1986 through the generous support of Bard College trustee Leon Levy, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, public policy research organization. The Levy Institute is independent of any political or other affiliation, and encourages diversity of opinion in the examination of economic policy issues while striving to transform ideological arguments into informed debate. The Levy Institute Scholarship at Bard College Berlin is intended to support exceptionally promising students in the Economics, Politics, and Social Thought program. 

Award amount: Up to a 50% tuition waiver; renewable for 4 years

Priority Application Deadline: January 1

Late Application Deadline: May 1


Criteria

Applicants for the Levy Institute Scholarship must

- Apply for admission to the B.A. in Economics, Politics, and Social Thought program

- Demonstrate excellent preparation for the course through a strong academic record in mathematics, economics, and/or history/social studies

The partial tuition waiver is renewable for 4 years contingent on the recipientís maintenance of a B average or better.
