Jens Reich Scholarship

Description

Jens Reich has been involved with the academic development of Bard College Berlin since its beginning and continues to play an important role as a member of its Academic Advisory Board. In honor of Prof. Reich's longstanding commitment to the College, the Jens Reich Scholarship was introduced in 2014. The scholarship is intended to support students who plan to pursue a degree in the natural sciences, but wish first to study in the framework of the liberal arts at Bard College Berlin. It is addressed to students who have a particular interest in the social and cultural implications of scientific knowledge and research. 

Award amount: Up to a 90% tuition waiver for the one-year Academy Year program

Priority Application Deadline: January 1

Late Application Deadline: May 1


Criteria

Applicants for the Jens Reich Scholarship must

- Apply for admission to the Academy Year program

- Intend to pursue a degree in the natural sciences after the Academy Year

- Demonstrate an interest in the connections between the natural sciences and other fields

- Have an excellent academic record
